The micromotion study, as to its variety of settings, makes very high demands on image processing. There is a multitude of standardised methods which aim at doing image detection and object tracing respectively. Most of these methods however are specific to a certain application area, so that these methods hardly meet the requirements of science of sports. In this article a method is presented, which applies criteria for object tracing different from the textures used by patternmatching. The focus of this method lies in tracing small colour areas. The segmentation of colour areas is done extensively automatic, whereas the operator has the chance at any time to join in the process manually. Thereby it will be dwelled on selected problems. Concluding results of a laboratory examination will be presented, which will point out particular problems. Verf.-Referat
