Abstract
Auf dem Fußballplatz und dem Basketballfeld, im Football- und Baseball-Stadion geht es um weitaus mehr als um Sportspiele. Sport hat einen wesentlichen Einfluss auf die Lokal-, National und Gobalkultur. Am Beispiel des Sports untersucht Verf. die Themen Identität, Globalisierung, amerikanische Kulturhegemonie und Medien.
