Abstract des Autors
The wrist is the primary localization of trauma in snowboarders. Beginners are more frequently victims of wrist fractures than advanced riders. Inner or outer glove protections currently used are not useful and could be dangerous. A new security device is presented. It provides protection during falls on the heel of the hand. It could reduce the incidence of fractures for beginners by absorbing the force of the impact through the flexible structure of the grip. Verf.-Referat
