Abstract des Autors

The author goes through the various disciplines of gymnastics. For each of them he emphasizes the most frequent traumatic injuries. There is very little acute traumatology in gymnastics. Given the age of the practitioners who are generally not pubescent, it is necessary to apprehend the fractures of the growth cartilage of the long bones and the apophysiary tearings. The acceptance of the "steak" must be known. Microtraumatology (hyperutilization pathology) prevails in gymnastics. Osteochondroses of the lower limbs such as Sever's disease are the most frequent. In order to avoid them it is necessary to use appropriate shoes in the practice of floor exercises or pommel horse. As for the young gymnasts' lumbagos, the exercise test in ventral hyperextension can clinically detect the children likely to have lumbagos or spondylolyses. The author draws a conclusion by quickly skimming through national statistics and medical international publications concerning gymnastics. Verf.-Referat
