Abstract des Autors

In this work we compared the strength during isokinetic evaluations of the knee in a group of 11 athletes practicing volleyball, while performing jump tests. The isokinetic evaluation by means of Technogym-REV was developed as follows: 3 repetitions at 60-120-180-240ø/sec.; 30 repetitions at 180ø. Evaluation of jumps as follows: 3 repetitions of bipodalic squat jump (SJ), 3 repetitions of bipodalic counter-movement jump (CMJ), 3 repetitions of max high jump with two steps run and bipodalic take-off (take-off for spiking in volleyball), 20 bipodalic consecutive jumps, 3 repetitions of monopodalic squat jump and 3 of monopodalic counter-movement jumps (CMJ). The monopodalic tests were made both with the right and the left limb. There is a strong connection between both the limbs for the max strength peak expressed in isokinesis, both for extensors and flexors, at all the speeds we tested. In the evaluation of the tests of single jumps there was no remarkable difference between right and left limb, but only the CMJ data show a significant correlation between both the limbs. From a statistical point of view, no meaningful correlation has been stressed by comparing the max isokinetic strength peak both of extensors and flexors at the 4 different speeds in the tests and at the max height in bipodalic SJ, bipodalic CMJ, max high jump and the corresponding monopodalic SJ and CMJ. The analysis of the linear regression has remarked a high R-square both for the isokinetic test and repeated jumps. The angular coefficient in the jump test is much closer to the angular coefficient of extensors in comparison with flexors. The strength peaks of the single repetitions of resistance isokinetic test are significantly correlated to the height the athletes reached with their single jumps during the jump resistance test.
