Abstract des Autors

This paper is a review of the literature on the application of physical activity for treatment of chronic pain. One part analyzes the relation between pain, sports and physical activity in their physical, psychological and social dimensions. Different studies of physical activity in the treatment of chronic pain are reported. They are based on two concepts, a biomechanic approach defined by the functional restauration and a psychological approach defined from the concept of the operant behavior. A second part develops the hypothesis of the effect of exercise on pain and proposes some modalities for a pratical and clinical application of exercise in chronic pain. Verf.-Referat
