Abstract des Autors
Achilles and patellar tendinopathy are the most common overuse injuries of the lower limb in sport. However, tibialis posterior, tibialis anterior, flexor hallucis longus and the peroneal tendons can be affected by a similar pathological process. Incidence is increasing due to greater amounts of sports participation by the general population, often with poor training. Conservative management can often be curative, but, in resistant cases, operative intervention can return the athlete to sports. Surgical procedures are guided by the results of investigation, and operative findings. Verf.-Referat
