Abstract des Autors
This paper presents a french version of Roberts and Balague's Perception of Success Questionnaire (1991). Labelled "Questionnaire de Perception du Succ�s en Sport" (QPSS), this instrument consists of two subscales of six items assessing mastery and competitive (task and ego) goal orientations. The procedure of translation and validation is the one Vallerand advocates (1989). Five studies have been conducted with 1314 adults and teenagers, in order to translate the items and assess a) their comprehensibility (study 1), b) concurrent solidity (study 2 and 3), c) reliability (internal consistency and test-retest reliability) and d) construct validity (factorial structure) (study 4). We also aimed at examinies the effects or correlates of psychologic construct (study 4 and 5). The QPSS has been found to possess strong psychometric properties enabling to measure achievement goal orientations among French teenagers and adults sportsmen. Verf.-Referat
