Abstract des Autors

Acute anterior cruciate ligament tears were treated with either proximal reinsertion of proximal ruptures or semitendinosus augmentation of intraligamentous lesions. A modiefied Ellison procedure was routinely performed. Postoperative treatment was cast-free and included immediate physiotherapy using a functional brace. At follow-up after 2-5 years, no significant differences between the two groups were found in the Lysholm score, Tegner activity scale, clinical evaluation, and instrumented stability testing with a KT 1000 arthrometer. In conclusion, repair of proximal anterior cruciate ligament ruptures by reinsertion is recommended, combined with an extra-articular procedure and an early postoperative rehabilitation program. Intraligamentous lesions should be augmented by semitendinosus tendon. Verf.-Referat
