Abstract des Autors

Dislocation of the peroneal tendons sometimes occurs during sport activities as a consequence of an ankle sprain. If misrecognized, it is treated as a simple sprain carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic sequelae. When suspected, it represents an easy condition from both a diagnostic and therapeutic point of wiew. When unknown during the acute phase, the dislocation of the peroneal tendons becomes chronic and needs proper surgical treatment. The authors report some anatomical and etiopathogenetical features; they review the numerous different surgical procedures suggested since Lannelongue in 1890. Among the most popular ones, there are descriptions of the Achilles tendon tenoplasty by Ellis Jones and of the fibular partial osteotomy by Du Vries for reconstruction of the malleolar sheath or groove containing the peroneal tendons. Two cases of chronic dislocation of the peoneal tendons are reported and compared with each other, having been treated with those two different procedures. For both of them, surgical difficulties, complications and disadvantages are eventually reported. Verf.-Referat
