Author's abstract

Sufficient motivation is crucial for regular participation in physical exercise group therapy. Nineteen patients with osteoporosis were questioned about their experiences with weekly treatments. The alleviation of back pain (15/19) and improved flexibility (13/19) were the benefits mentioned by most of the patients. Information about the disease was important for 12/19 patients. Six patients would prefer an individual physiotherapy. The duration of group therapy should range between 45 minutes (7 pat.) and 60 minutes (10 pat.). Social aspects of the group therapy play only a minor role for the patients. Verf.-Referat
