Abstract des Autors

In order to evaluate the influence of different methods for lactate measurement, a comparison of common methods (Testcombination Lactate, Testomar Lactate, Miniphotometer 8 and Lactateanalyzer 23L) was made. Criteria were the reproduction of values in donated venous blood whose level was raised with lactate solution (n=45), the accuracy using watery lactate solutions (n=20) and the precision in 3 blood samples of different concentrations (n=10). In the low and middle concentration range, the methods supply similar results, exept for the Lactateanalyzer 23L when untreated blood was used. The most reliable results were produced by the Testcombination Lactate. The values obtained from Lactateanalyzer 23L were 15% too low when untreated blood was used, whereas the method showed reliable results when hemolysed blood was used. The Testomar Lactate showed a negative deviation for values above 8 mmol/l and showed too little precision at low concentrations. The values measured with the help of Mini 8 were too high across the whole range of concentrations. Verf.-Referat
