Abstract
Scapholunate dissociation is a well-described entity that commonly progresses to chronic disability and arthritis. The etiology is usually trauma, but there are isolated reports of atraumatic dissociations or those stemming from repeated occupational injury. The case presented here is the first known scapholunate dissociation in an elite athlete without antecedent trauma. Wrist reconstruction was undertaken with the hope that progressive wrist disability and arthritis could be prevented. Verf.-Referat
