Abstract
Rowing is a relatively safe sport; it is a non contact endurance sport. Injuries can occur as a result of overuse due to the training loads that are required to improve performance. However injuries occur more often associated with land training. Lightweight rowing has added a new dimension to medical input in rowing. Advice and guidance may be needed in helping athletes avoid the pitfalls of attempting to make the weight by inappropriate or even prohibited means. Verf.-Referat
