Abstract

This work was carried out to develop a method for training strength of lower extremities muscles using exercises performed on an pendulum training simulator. The experiment was first of all to explain which of the proposed methods would have a higher influence on the positive changes in strength speed capabilities of lower extremities. The training cycles and measurements were performed on a group of 20 students of the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, divided into two 10 - person groups. All tested persons were subjected to an uniform training program which was accomplished using two methods: Group A - development of maximum strength during take-off proper phase, group M - maximum strength during amortization phase. The measurement track employed has enabled the tested person to observe on a monitor screen (in the on-line system) values of the selected take-off parameter during performance of the exercise. The changes in strength - speed capabilities of lower extremities muscles were determined using 3 different tests. It was shown that changes in values of the evaluated parameters in static or almost static tests were similar in both groups. Positive changes in values attained during dynamic testing were stated in group A, only. A method for performed exercises and other components of the training method using the pendulum training simulator were proposed. Verf.-Referat
