Abstract

The present Chinese urban middle school students sport life-style and its contributing factors were studied in this paper. Results show that with the social influence of reform and opening the door, there have been adapting changes and noticeable features in urban students sport life-style at not only the spiritual level such as sport requirement and sport viewpoint, but also material level such as the ways of exercises, the time and place for physical activity, the consumption in participating sport, and the performance in competition. These changes are chiefly due to the 5 major contributing factors including sport circumstances; commodity economy, and so on.
