Abstract
By means of the Polygraph System RM-6000 connected with an IBM-PC/XT computer, electromyograms (EMGS) were taken of the main muscle groups involved in the performance of 92 archers. The results suggested that the fluctuation of the mean EMG value curve, the standard deviation of the mean value and the synchronism of EMG activity could be used as indices for diagnosing archery techniques. These indices could also be used to diagnose the stability, uniformity of exertion and coordination achieved by a given archer in shooting performance. Verf.-Referat
