Abstract
Blood lactic concentration tests have been performed on 179 armymen taking part in eight events contested at tournaments organized by the International Military Sports Council. The most conspicuous changes in blood lactic concentration were observed in obstacle runners, and the proportion of energy produced by blood lactic acid was much higher in the obstacle race than in other events. This pointed to the different charcteristic features of metabolism taking place in athletes performing in different events.
