Abstract

Forty-three physical fitness measurements were taken among 60 fourteen-year-old boys and the variation and interrelationship among the results of the measurements were studied. Further, the quantitative analysis proved that there was a dialectical interrelationship among the morphology, the physical function and the physical qualities of the body as an organic whole. The chracteristic features of the variation and the coefficients of correlation among the indeces of the 43 measurements, together with their derivatives, provided a theoretical basis for the correct choice of measurement items in the study of physical fitness and for the estimation of their stability and reliability.
