Although Chinas competitive sport system has been successful, it sometimes interferes young peoples desires for an all-round development. In recent years, the achievement of social reform has not only promoted competitive sport to combine with school sport, but also impelled it to search for new ways in its development. Taking university-run to level sports teams as locomotive, the newly developed competitive sport in school is a rational and hopeful supplemental way. It meets the social requirements, has the advantages of saving money, and is in confirmity with the superiority of cultivating sport talents from basic level. It is thus suggested that competitive sport in school should be put under full consideration as a new way to impel sport development in China.
