Abstract des Autors

Mental-retarted pupils suffer not only from poor physical fitness and psychological defects, some even have handicapped problems. In order to approach the functions and effects of P.E. on the improvement of physical fitness and on the recovery of handicapped body parts of the mental-retarded pupils, a five-year experimental study was conducted in two stages: 1) to improve the pupils physical fitness; and 2) to rehabilitate the function of their handicapped body parts. Results show that P.E. is an active and effective way in promoting physical and mental rehabilitation of mental-retarded children, so it should be energetically encouraged and practised among them.
