Abstract
The author gives a brief historical review and examins the institutional and legal framework of international sports competition. A whole chapter is devoted to boycotts - an important political phenomenon in international sports. This book also addresses the contemporary social issues of amateurism; use of drugs by athletes; crimination; and taxation.
