Abstract
Cortisone is one of the most effctive anti-inflammatory agents used, but has serious side effects that demand judicious use and judgment. In this article, we illustrate the role of corticosteroids in the sports medicine practice. The risks and reported complications secondary to cortisone injections are discussed. Verf.-Referat
