Abstract des Autors
The aim of the study was to analyse the effects of metabolic and/or perceptual work load on a coincidence/anticipation task. Three experimental treatments were applied: (1) metabolic work load, (2) perceptual work load, (3) metabolic and perceptual work load. Performance on a spatio-temporal coordination task was the dependent variable. Time error and accuracy scores were recorded. Work load does not affect accuracy. All subjects significantly improve their performance in the post test, as measured by the constant error; all subjects perform better at 4.7 km/hour for this measure. Subjects show less variability in their performance at 8.1 km/hour. Accuracy measurement reveals a significant interaction direction/pre-post.
