Abstract
Causes of the ski injuries differ greatly, since the sport involves variable weather conditions, individual physical fitness, ski equipment, snow conditions, and perhaps skiers mental attitude and nutrition. There are two peak hours for accidents on days when the air temperature is higher than the monthly mean temperature, and one peak hour, on days when it is lower. Most skiing injuries occur when the ground snow turns to be what Mock called Foehnschnee. If we can predict changes in snow conditions, this could help reduce the number of casualties. Verf.-Referat
