Abstract
The Pflaum Life Quality Inventory was administered to 10 female nationally ranked long-distance runners, most of whom were in the Masters Category. The scores indicated significantly better (P < .01) life quality than other reported groups of nonrunning adults and college students. The mechanism for this mind/body interaction is not known.
