Abstract
With regard to non-Xray procedures for the estimation of adult stature, the studies by Sramkova et al. (1978), Miliczerowa (1973), and Walker (1974) are of interest; these methods are, however, less accurate when transferred to other countries. The purpose of the present study was to develop a method by which genuine age could be suitably estimated in Hungarian youth; further, by knowledge of this age, an attempt was made at predicting the expected final stature in a group of young subjects who were followed up for a longer time.
