Abstract
A fracture of the os trigonum must be considered in the patient who presents with a history of severe plantarflexion injury resulting inposterior ankle pain with limited motion. Clinical correlation as well as a comparison between roentgenograms of both ankles are important, since not all unattached ossicles are the results of fractures. If symptoms of pain and limited ankle motion persist after proper conservative treatment, then surgical excision is indicated. Verf.-Referat
