Abstract des Autors
The suggestion that the sensitivity of the adrenergic receptors would change in the course of regular physical training dates back to the second half of the sixties. Results of the various in vitro and in vivo studies failed to give rise to an unambiguous interpretation of the response given to adrenergicstimultans though the responses to blocking agents, especially to beta blockers, were found to be smaller. A comparison of other reports with our ownexperimental data lends support to the statement that regular physical activity may be ruled out with certainty from among the factors that decrease the sensitivity of the adrenergic receptors. It even appears regular physical exercise tends to increase receptor responsiveness, above all in beta receptors. There are a number of other factors, however, which may influence the extent and direction of the responses given to adrenergic stimulants and blocking agents in the in vivo studies. Verf.-Referat
