Abstract

Visual and auditory reaction times of the right hand and the right foot of 92 hockey players were studied. The backs are significantly fastet and the halfbacks slowest. In foot reaction times the goalkeepers follow the former but inhand reaction times forwards take the position of goalkeepers. Right-backs aresignificantly faster than left-backs among the backs. In half-line players the centre-halves are fasted followed by left-halves, while the left-halves are the slowest. Among the forwards the left-outs arethe fastest, in audiotory reaction times they are followed by centre-forwards while in visual reaction times they are followed by left-ins. But right-ins are the slowest inall the reaction times. Visual and auditory reaction times of hand are faster than corresponding reaction times of foot. Auditory reaction times of hand andfoot are faster than corresponding visual reaction times. Verf.-Referat
