Abstract
The effect of a daily treadmill exercise bout of increasing intensity, over a period of twelve weeks, on body, adrenal and heart mass, whole blood hemoglobin and sugars, total serum protein, lipid and cholesterol and plasma cortic sterone concentrations were determined in male and female Wistar rats. The running activity caused a decrease in body mass, hemoglobin, total serum lipidand cholesterol concentrations. A sexual dimorphism was noticed regarding adrenal size, blood sugar levels and plasma corticosterone concentrations. Verf.-Referat
