Abstract

The reports concerning morphological changes in vascular myocardial tree during training period are related. The findings from animal experiences showed, during training, myocardial hypertrophy development, with a growth in coronary branches too. The coronary diameter and cross sectional area showed asignificant increase with the physical activity. Adaptations in microcirculatory network are testified by the increased proliferative capillary activity, the greater number of myocardial capillaries/mm2 and myocardial capillary/ fiber ration. These morphological adaptations decline at the end of physical training. These variations in the morphological parameters can be considered as vascular myocardial tree adaptations to greater heart work during training,in relation to its intensity and duration.
