Abstract
The biomechanical analysis presented herein demonstrates possible relationships between adjustments and specific injuries. The analysis also provides general insight into the cycling injury problem. A more detailed biomechanicalanalysis is required to quantify the relationship between adjustments and bothmuscular and ligamentous loads. In reviewing the current state of biomechanical modeling, the complete lower extremity muscular forces have been computed.A model for computing total ligamentous forces under arbitrary external loading has not yet been devised. The ligamentous nature of many cycling injuries points to the need of such a model for a detailed analysis of the cycling injury problem. Verf.-Referat
