Dieser Dokumentarfilm porträtiert sieben ehemalige Meisterschwimmerinnen des jüdischen Sportklubs Hakoah, die nach 60 Jahren für eine Woche nach Wien zurückkehren. Hakoah war bis zur Zwangsauflösung 1938 einer der führenden Sportklubs Österreichs und Europas, der vor allem im Schwimmen, im Fußball und im Wasserball zahlreiche internationale Erfolge errang. Die Schwimmerinnen, die 1938 geflohen waren, um der Verfolgung und Ermordung zu entgehen, leben heute verstreut in der ganzen Welt. Filmemacher Yaron Zilberman begleitete die sieben Frauen bei ihrer Reise nach Wien und in die eigene Vergangenheit.

Founded in 1909 in response to the notorious Aryan Paragraph, which forbade most Austrian sports clubs from accepting Jewish athletes, Hakoah rapidly grew into one of Europe's biggest athletic organizations -- and its women's swim team virtually dominated national competitions in the 1930s.
