Abstract

Der Beitrag geht den – empirisch bisher völlig unerforschten – Fragen nach, ob und ggf. wie sich Sportlehrerinnen und -lehrer am Ende Ihres Berufsweges (noch) entwickeln und ob und ggf. wie es ihnen gelingt, diese berufsbiographische „Phase“ subjektiv befriedigend zu gestalten. Erste Ergebnisse unserer laufenden qualitativen Untersuchung deuten darauf hin, dass diese Zeit in der Wahrnehmung der Sportlehrkräfte besondere Herausforderungen und Belastungen enthält, für deren produktive Bewältigung aktive Gestaltungsformen gesucht und gefunden werden. Nicht zuletzt erweisen sich jene Coping-Strategien als bedeutsam für das individuelle Gesundheitsempfinden. Verf.-Referat

Abstract

The article examines the solar empirically entirely unexplored questions of whether, and if so, how physical education teachers (still) develop at the end of their professional career and whether, and if so, how they manage to shape this occupational biographical phase making it subjectively satisfying. The initial results of the ongoing qualitative study indicate that this period comprises special challenges and strains in the perception of physical education teachers, for which behavioral strategies are saught and found in order to productively to cope with the given circumstances. In the end these coping strategies prove to be relevant for one’s personal perception of health. Verf.-Referat
