Abstract
The dimples on the golf ball surface affect the aerodynamic force while flying. They are designed for this effect with various sizes, depths, contours and shapes; those are combined and distributed on the surface. In this study, the aerodynamic influence of the dimple design on drag and lift force is investigated by analyzing the result of the indoor and outdoor ball launcher tests that measure CD, CL, trajectory and flying distance.
