Abstract

Die nächsten Olympischen Sommerspiele finden im Jahr 2008 im Reich der Mitte statt. Dadurch wird die Reform- und Öffnungspolitik Chinas weiter gestärkt, seine Modernisierung gefördert, der olympische Gedanke unter den Chinesen verbreitet, das Interesse am Sport geweckt und seine Bedeutung noch stärker ins öffentliche Blickfeld gerückt. Dieser Beitrag vermittelt einen Einblick in die Organisationsstrukturen des Sportsystems in China, die maßgeblich die chinesischen Erfolge im Leistungssport bedingen. Verf.-Referat

Abstract

The 2008 Olympic Summer Games will take place in China. This will not only lead to a further strengthening of China´s politics of reform and opening, but will also support its modernization process. Additional consequences will be the spreading of the Olympic idea among the Chines people, the arousal of interest in sports and the focusing of public attention on the importance of sports. This article conveys insight into the organizational structures of the Chinese sports system which are to a great extent responsible for the Chinese success in top-level sports. Verf.-Referat
