Abstract des Autors
Abstract des Autors
Reductions of neuromuscular deficits are common after shoulder injuries. In many studies these deficits are tested by methods determining the joint position sense by joint angle or balance measurements. The goal the follow-up treatment is eliminating the neuromuscular deficit through physical and sports-specific therapy. Exercise and training can improve the coordination between neural regulation and muscle control. The goal of arm stability training on stable and unstable surfaces is to stimulate receptors to restore the disturbed neuromuscular function. An essential aspect of the therapy is increasing the strength of rotator-cuff and scapula fixing muscles. Additional therapy forms which lead to structural adaptation and preparation of sports-specific loads includes, in such like the learning of high quality movements right on through to fast-dynamic sport-specific movements (plyometric training that imitates throwing) without compensating or protective movements.
