Abstract des Autors
Groin injuries are a major and frequent problem in orthopedics and sports traumatology. Different structures, like abdominal and adductor muscles, spine, sacroiliac joint, os pubis, nerves and other soft tissues forming a functional unit can be pathologic. The etiologies include acute injuries (muscle strains), chronic overuse (numerous microtraumatic episodes), anatomic variations (weak groin) and/or weakness of the muscular stabilization of the lower back and the pelvis. The treatment is, according to the pathology, conservative (physical therapy), operative or rehabilitative. An overview with respect to the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and therapy is presented.
