Chronic ECS usually occurs in the leg, especially the anterior external compartment. The condition is exceptionally rare in the forearm, and has been described in the dorsal compartment (extensor carpi ulnaris) and the volar compartment. Only seven cases of chronic ECS have been reported in the forearm, and four of these were bilateral. Except in one case, chronic ECS of the forearm typically occurs in young adulthood, when physical activity encourages muscle hypertrophy. Two cases of bilateral chronic ECS of the forearm in brothers are presented. Verf.-Referat
