Abstract

In its current version, the LIFT system stressed the fact that the decision-making process of the receiver relies on knowledge of very different origins. However, it must be noted that the LIFT system does not try to explain the real receiver's decision-making process, but only provides a model for simulating complexity of decision-making. The system can also be used by tennis coaches who wish to improve the effectiveness of their players in returning serves. Thus, the system enables one to show the players which cues are relevant and how to use them in order to make more efficient decisions when returning the ball. Zusammenfassung
