The Hungarian National Team of waterpolo participated in a FINA CUP game in Atlanta 12-17 September 1995. The team arrived to Atlanta 5th of September, the present study reports the experiences observed during the 7 days of acclimatisation. The quality of the sleep during the nights, values of the blood pressure and heart rate in the morning and the restitution of the heart rate after a simple short swim-test achieved their optimal level to the 4th day. A transitory relapse in the quality of sleeping and in the morning blood pressure and heart rate values were observed during the 1-2 days, all these parameters stabilised again on to the 6th-7th days. Results indicate that three or four days are needed for the acclimatisation, the surely perfect acclimatisation, however, seems to be achieved during a 6-7 days period. Verf.-Referat
