Abstract des Autors

The authors prepared an experimental model to examine the effects of physical activity on the motor unit. The preliminary phase of the study aimed to evaluate the alterations of the main molecular parameters in the absence of stimulus. In particular, changes in dry and fresh muscle weight, DNA, RNA and total proteins were calculated. From the results obtained it was found that the significant alterations in macroscopic and biochemical muscle parameters are not associated with similar morphological alterations at an ultrastructural level, which only begin to appear one month after denervation. Using this experimental model in rats, the authors began to evaluate alterations induced on the motor unit by muscle exercises (specifically designed for this purpose). Verf.-Referat
