Abstract des Autors
In 1154 arthroscopic operations of the knee were found 178 cases of anterior cruciate ligament injury. From these could 168 patients fill out an inquiry. The follow-up was 3 to 48 months. 85% of the patients had also a meniscal tear. All these patients had beside the arthroscopic findings by clinical investigation a positive Lachman and pivotshift, variabel from 1+ to 3+. The most injuries were caused by sports, especially soccer. The persistent complains were instability and pain. Instability was found in 42% of the patients. In nearly 12% of the cases the instability was so severe, that they needed reconstructive surgery. Complains of pain was found in 38%. The effect on sports was obvious, although a great part of the patients did return to some kind of sports, especially on a lower level. Verf.-Referat
