Abstract des Autors
Results of some studies on the influence of endurance exercise in children were discussed. Most of these agree that children are not inferior in endurance capacity in comparison with adults, but the accepted conception of adaptation to endurance in adults cannot be transfered to children. Reactions in childhood are neither better nor worse, they are different (e.g. low initial lactate production because of rapidly increasing O2-uptake during exercise). In healthy children the endurance training can be used if the physiological principles are respected, if the intensity is not higher than 60% VO2max and if the local moving system is not overloaded.
