Abstract des Autors
In order to obtain specific measurements in the laboratory of performance in competitive dancing, the Interval Dancing Test (IDT) was developed. The test reviewed the physical and cardio-respiratory performance and the metabolic capacity of 42 couples in the categories D-S of the Hessian Dance-Sport-Association. Average max. values using the IDT: m. dancers: Hf 184 +/- 7/min, VE 80.5 +/- 13.1 l/min, VO2 44.9 +/- 6.4 ml/kg/min, VO2/Hf 17.3 +/- 2.4 ml, lactate 10.1 +/- 2.3 mmol/l, f. dancers: Hf 183 +/- 8/min, VE 61.5 +/- 13.5 l/min, VO2 38.4 +/- 6.0 ml/kg/min, VO2/Hf 12.0 + 2.2 ml, lactate 9.8 +/- 2.5 mmol/l. In field tests examining amateur dance tournaments in the category S we found only lactate concentrations between 2.7 and 7.0 mmol/l after preliminary, semi-final and final rounds. The IDT improves the motivation of dancers to measure their health and their physical and biological performance. Verf.-Referat
