Abstract des Autors

10 middle- and longdistance runners were investigated during a period of two years. The running velocity at the lactic anaerobic threshold (vAT) was measured; the dependence on the volume and intensity of training and the influence to competition results was estimated. During the off- and preseason an increase of the vAT was found when training was extended with a high amount of aerobic intensities. Individually a decrease in vAT was seen during the season with a concomitant reduction in aerobic training, especially in training at the anaeorbic threshold. 1500 m and 5000 m competition results correlated significantly with the vAT. A significant decrease in vAT related to an impaired competition capacity was found when specific aerobic training was significantly reduced more than 30%. Training control is possible only under regular testing. However, the individual relationship of the intensity and volume of training exercise on the results of tests and on competition should always be regarded. Verf.-Referat
