Abstract
Stress fractures are overuse injuries of bone. Basketball players are particularly prone to develop the notoriously troublesome stress fractures of the foot and leg. This article reviews the pathogenesis, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of stress fractures, with specific emphasis on the care of the basketball athlete. Verf.-Referat
