Abstract
Hand tendon injuries are common in athletes. Tendon ruptures occur secondary to acute trauma, and overuse syndromes are caused by repetitive microtrauma. Both traumatic and overuse injuries require prompt diagnosis for optimal outcome. This article reviews the common hand tendon injuries and emphasizes keys to early diagnosis and treatment.
