Abstract

The effects of herbs and calgam on the aminocids level were studied in 16 football players (physical education students) participating in a conditioning camp in the Bieszczady Mountains. The significant changes observed in the level of blood serum aminoacids were found to be caused by administration of herb preparations rather than by regular physical exercise of endurance type. Herbs cause an increase of the aminoacids studied, except alanine, glycine, and valine which undergo concentration decrease. On the other hand, calgam results in a decrease of serum free aminoacids, except glutamine, isoleucine and valine. Verf.-Referat
